How would you describe your personal design style, and how have you woven that aesthetic throughout your home?

My personal design style mirrors my fashion sense—rooted in neutral tones and elevated through layered textures. I find comfort and calm in a muted palette, using combinations of materials to bring depth, warmth, and visual interest to every space.

What drew you to this rug, and how does it anchor or elevate your master bedroom?

I love how this rug blends neutral shades with just enough pattern to add dimension without overwhelming the space. The subtle squares bring in a sense of structure, and the tones are the perfect grounding element. I’ll definitely be pulling from this palette as I continue designing the rest of the room.

Are there design details or styling choices the rug will help bring to life once you start your master bedroom design?

We’re still in the early stages of designing our bedroom, so there’s lots to do—but I chose this rug intentionally as a piece to build from. Its mix of neutral tones and subtle pattern makes it a true hero piece, no matter which direction we take the rest of the room

How do you want your bedroom to feel, and how does this rug contribute to creating that atmosphere?

I want our bedroom to feel like a calming escape—peaceful, but not boring. This rug helps anchor that vision with its mix of neutral hues and subtle pattern. The soft squares bring just enough interest to give me room to play with other patterns while keeping everything cohesive.

Kristie loves a good pair of fashion-forward shoes—what’s your current favorite in your closet?

I am a shoe girl so this is a hard question for me! Right now, I have been loving the jelly flip flop trend and have my eye on these to elevate the look a little bit.
