Growing up in Mountain Brook, Alabama, a town known for its strong sense of architecture and interior design, Farris Ann has always appreciated the impact and importance our homes have on our lives. After years of experience working with several nationally recognized design firms, including McAlpine and Sarah Bartholomew Design, Farris Ann launched FAI in 2021.
While Farris Ann's projects vary in style and scope — each aiming to reflect the client's unique experiences and preferences — they share the common result of warm, inviting, current, and sophisticated interiors. Whether embarking upon a ground-up new build or something as small as a kitchen renovation or single room redesign, Farris Ann's approach makes the design process enjoyable and stress-free. Art. My most recent acquisition is a pair of mixed media works on paper by Susanne Carmack.
An item(s) you buy on repeat when designing a space.
Wallpaper - but I don't like to repeat the same pattern from project to project.
Your go-to paint color?
Sherwin Williams White Duck. Or Farrow & Ball Setting Plaster for something a bit more fun - it works in more spaces than you would think!
An artist or style of art you can't live without?
I could never narrow it down to just one! Although, I tend to gravitate towards more contemporary art.

Good food & wine, my children, bubble baths (I guess that's four...!)

London, for the unparalleled shopping and dining, museums, beautiful parks and hotels. Inspiration is everywhere!
